The "Team America Rocketry Challenge" or "T.A.R.C." is a national model rocket contest that is available for high school and middle school students in the United States at www.rocketcontest.org

The 2009 contest will challenge your students to design, build, and fly a model rocket that carries one raw egg to an altitude of 750' and a flight duration of 45 seconds, returning the egg to the ground safely.

More than 16,000 students from every state participated in the 2004 & 2005 contests, making the Team America Rocketry Challenge the world's largest model rocket contest. The Challenge provides student teams with a realistic experience in designing and flying an aerospace vehicle that meets a specified set of mission and performance requirements.

The contest is co-sponsored by the National Association of Rocketry (NAR), America's largest and oldest association of sport rocket fliers.
